One year at The Face Collective - it's our birthday!
December 2022 marks The Face Collective’s first birthday and we wanted to reflect on our very first year in business!
At the tail end of the global pandemic and the turbulent times that came with it, The Face Collective founder and Cosmetic Nurse Injector Ayesha embarked on her journey to share through her business the highest quality care in combination with knowledge and education on all things skin care and injectables.
Her vision for The Face Collective was to create a space that fosters self-confidence and empowerment, through expertise, genuine care and kindness. With this in mind, The Face Collective officially opened its doors in beautiful Torquay on 2 December 2021.
In this blog The Face Collective team have compiled their insights and experiences through their journey over the last year.
The launch
With Ayesha having recently moved to Victoria, every aspect of The Face Collective was started from scratch – including the most important component of any business, building trusted partnerships with clinic providers, vendors, employees and clients. Over the last year, The Face Collective has forged lasting friendships and a vibrant community that we are so grateful for!
A perfect storm was in motion with the global pandemic during which there were numerous restrictions (such as no treatments below the mask) amongst six lockdowns that took place in Victoria. As a result, there were build delays and increasing material costs for the clinic, and ultimately a 3-month delay in the opening of The Face Collective.
Setting up the clinic with bespoke services and a luxurious environment unique to Torquay with a personal touch was a labour of love, and demonstrated the kindness, professionalism and support of all those that were involved in its creation.
Highlights of our first year!
Here are just a few of the highlights of the first year of The Face Collective:
- Our amazing skin specialist Dani who joined the team from Sydney, and brings 15 years of experience. With Dani’s support, we have been able to curate an amazing skin treatment menu – not to be missed.
- Introduction of new skin devices and machines, as well as new advanced treatments. We love learning new techniques and using the latest technology to ensure best possible results for our clients.
- Building our online community – it’s hard to believe we started with only 3 followers on Instagram that has now grown to over 800 in less than 1 year.
- Achieving incredible results for our patients and clients – we are passionate about delivering results for our clients, this is our ultimate goal.
- Meeting the most amazing people – getting to know our clients and local business owners, and establishing relationships in the local Torquay community.
Our favourite treatments and products
- Anti-wrinkle treatments offer variety and flexibility, meaning this treatment is truly bespoke and designed to you needs.
- Skin needling also helps with a range of skin concerns, with achievable and visible results.
- WiQo – we’re so excited to offer this new skin treatment that has visible results immediately after treatment, and it is non-invasive (no needles!).
- SPF and retinol are our go to products – both are key products in managing the effects of ageing skin, combined with a regular skin treatment plan.
What makes The Face Collective so special?
Reflecting on what we set out to achieve, we are proud of the unique aspects of The Face Collective. Ingrained in our approach is the care we take with each patient and ensuring a personalised experience.
This means that we take a holistic view for all treatments - we think about everything including gut health, stress, hormones, lifestyle factors, environmental factors, work impacts and everything else in between.
Having a personalised approach means that The Face Collective can be flexible in our consultations (no rushing!) and when needed we are able to create a bespoke treatment specific to our patients needs. With this in mind, you will find that we often go above and beyond our standard consultations to ensure all questions are answered and you are comfortable prior to your treatment.
The future - what are we excited about?
Building our foundations has enabled The Face Collective team to plan a very exciting future. There so many new things coming in 2023. These will include more services, new products and hopefully expanding our team – so stay tuned for updates in the new year!
